Artists from Spain, Carme Nogueira and Elena Prado, investigate the influence of the Spanish community that settled in Breda in the early 1960s. The research results of this forgotten history are shown in the project space NEXT of the Stedelijk Museum Breda.
The collaboration between Stedelijk Museum Breda and Witte Rook is based on a shared desire to tell the story of the city within an artistic context. Letters from Spain came about thanks to the Internationalization Testing Ground of the province of North Brabant.
This presentation: Letters from Spain – on the trail of the Spanish community in Breda can be seen from 1 August to 20 September. The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Entrance to this exhibition is free.
