Van Gogh AiR invites artists to work for a while in Van Gogh’s native village Zundert and to be inspired by the famous artist and the place where he grew up.

Two guest studios available:

Kosterswoning next to the Van Gogh church in Zundert. Artists stay for a month in the old sexton’s house and work in the adjacent studio. Afterwards they exhibit the results of their work period in the Van GoghGalerie. The spirit of Van Gogh can still be felt close to the Van GoghHuis, in the center of the village, near the Protestant church between tall trees.

Vlaamse Schuur on De Moeren Estate. Artists stay and work for two months in the monumental Flemish barn on Landgoed De Moeren, near the country house and the Trappist monastery. In the middle of nature, with forests and heaths, which Vincent wrote about in his letters and that offered him much inspiration as a painter. This estate is part of the future Van Gogh National Park. The working period ends with an Open Studio weekend.

Participants receive an artist’s fee and support for the publication of their work. In exchange, they donate a work to the collection of the Vincent van GoghHuis without obligation. The Van GoghGalerie regularly invites artists for exhibitions and special projects.

Artists can apply for a residency of a month in the sexton’s house or a residency of two months in the studio at Landgoed De Moeren in 2023 or 2024 by sending a motivation (max 1 A4) and portfolio to studio@vangoghhuis.com
