Description
De Fabriek shows the creative processes of artists which are developed during the residency. In these residencies time, space and freedom are optimally present. We are an artist-run space with an exceptionallybeautiful space a super studio.
Organisatio
The Factory is located in an old factory hall from the 60s. Once built as a bookbindery. Since 1980 (35 years ago this year) she has been given the position of home of the De Fabriek artists’ initiative.
Program
Artists are selected by a committee. De Fabriek organizes four work periods per year for artists.
Each work period ends with an opening and a short exhibition for the public. The openings and other public moments serve as a meeting place for artists and the public. During these moments artists can enter into discussions with each other and the public about the work presented, art and art practice.
