Description
Air De Missie gives artists the opportunity to explore the meaning of life, religion and spirituality with or inspired by the residents of Park Zuiderhout.
Organisation
Park Zuiderhout has a rich history and was once a seminary, now a flourishing residential area for seniors. The location is beautifully surrounded by a forest and the open green spaces of a golf course.
Park Zuiderhout is home to about 300 residents varying from people in need of care to people who are still independent. Furthermore it is also still home to six different religious orders and congregations.
Program
Air de Missie offers a residency for three months for mid-career artists. The program includes an inspiring workspace and quest room in the old monastery. We invite artist to join in the day- to day life. We expect the artists to be able to connect with our residents and not only be inspired but moreover inspire and broaden their views. The program also works together with the Stedelijk Museum Breda and offers a place in the group exhibition which shows the work of that years residencies.
