PARK focuses on current developments within contemporary art and on artists with thorough experience and proven quality. Space is offered to regional colleagues, but also to artists who operate nationally or internationally, precisely to make a positive contribution to the discussion about contemporary art.
PARK is an art initiative founded in 2013 by Rob Moonen in collaboration with a number of other Tilburg artists. The PARK staff currently consists of Linda Arts, René Korten, Rob Moonen and Liza Voetman.
Once a year PARK offers an artist the opportunity for a work period of 8 weeks during the summer period. The working period ends with a public presentation that takes shape in consultation with the artist.PARK is a non-commercial stage for visual arts in Tilburg where experimental approaches are encouraged. PARK has a ground floor of approximately 250 m² and offers a program of exhibitions, performances, workshops, discussions and concerts. It is situated 8-minute walk from the central station. Museum de Pont and TextielMuseum are immediate neighbors. PARK focuses on solo and group exhibitions by young and mid-career artists. In addition, the space is regularly used as a place of production.
